§ 6.05. FILING FOR OFFICE:

Eligibility to File:

Each candidate for an elective city office shall meet the following qualifications:
(a)

Qualification: Qualified as stated in Council Qualifications of this Charter in Section 3.05.

(b)

Nomination: A person desiring to become a candidate for Mayor, or for any place on the City Council, or any other elected office, may file an application for a place on the ballot with the City Secretary in accordance with the Texas Election Code.
