Article 7. OUTDOOR ADVERTISING SIGN REGULATION

§ 7.01. Purpose.

The purpose of these sign regulations is to encourage the effective use of signs as a means of communication in the City of Santa Fe; to maintain and enhance the aesthetic environment and Santa Fe's ability to attract sources of economic development and growth; to improve pedestrian and traffic safety; to minimize the possible adverse effect of signs on nearby public and private property; and to enable the fair and consistent enforcement of these sign restrictions. This Section of the Ordinance is adopted under the zoning authority of Santa Fe in furtherance of the more general purposes set forth in this Ordinance. This Section of the Ordinance is adopted in accordance with Title 7, Chapter 216, of the Texas Local Government Code. This Section of the Ordinance is specifically aimed at achieving the goals, objectives, and public policies enumerated in the Santa Fe United Development Code of the Santa Fe Zoning Ordinance.
