§ 5. INTERNATIONAL MECHANICAL CODE
A.
INTERNATIONAL MECHANICAL CODE ADOPTED
A certain document, one (1) copy of which is on file in the office of the City Secretary of the City of Santa Fe, being marked and designated as the International Mechanical Code, 2012 Edition, including Appendix Chapter: Appendix A "COMBUSTION AIR OPENINGS AND CHIMNEY CONNECTOR PASS-THROUGHS", as published by the International Code Council, be and is hereby adopted as the Mechanical Code of the City of Santa Fe, in the State of Texas for regulating and governing the design, construction, quality of materials, erection, installation, alteration, repair, location, relocation, replacement, addition to, use or maintenance of mechanical systems as herein provided; providing for issuance of permits and the collection of fees therefore; and each and all of the regulations, provisions, penalties, conditions and terms of said Mechanical Code on file in the office of the City of Santa Fe are hereby referred to, adopted, and made a part hereof, as if fully set out in this chapter, with the additions, insertions, deletions and changes, if any, prescribed in Subsection B of this section.

B.
REVISIONS
The following sections are hereby revised:
Section 101.1 Insert as NAME OF JURISDICTION: City of Santa Fe, Texas.

C.
ADOPTION OF MECHANICAL LICENSE LAW
Before any person, firm or corporation shall contract or engage in the business of installing, repairing or altering heating, air-conditioning or mechanical refrigeration equipment in any building, structure or premises in the City, he shall be licensed as provided in the Mechanical License Law, the same being Article 8861, Texas Civil Statutes.

D.
CONFLICTS
Where the provisions of other sections of these Building Regulations shall conflict with the International Mechanical Code, the more restrictive shall prevail.

E.
FEES
Fees shall be as determined by resolution of the Santa Fe City Council.

F.
PENALTIES
Any person, firm, or corporation who fails to comply with, or violates, any part of this section shall be subject to the penalties pursuant to Section 1 GENERAL (G) PENALTY, herein.
